Contractor Systems ("we", "us") operates contractorsystems.com, the Contractor Systems web app, and the Contractor Systems mobile apps for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what we collect when you use them or communicate with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you submit a form, book a call, or contact us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, company, trade, and message. We also collect standard technical data like IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and pages visited. If you opt in to text messages, we record your phone number, the date and time of your consent, and the page where you gave it.

The Contractor Systems app

When your business uses the Contractor Systems web or mobile app, we collect and store the information needed to run it:

• Account details: your name, email address, and business details. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider. We never see your password for those services.
• Job photos: before and after photos you take with your camera or choose from your photo library, plus the job details you enter. The app only uses the camera and photo library when you choose to add a photo.
• Customers and messages: the customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, text messages, and website form leads your business sends and receives through the app.
• Calls: if you connect a phone system, call details (numbers, times, duration) and call recordings provided by that system.
• Reviews: review requests you send and the responses customers leave.
• Device information: a push notification token so we can alert you to new leads and messages, plus basic technical data such as device type and app version.

We use this information only to provide the app to your business: showing your jobs, publishing finished jobs to your website and connected social accounts when you choose to, delivering messages and review requests, and sending you notifications. The app does not show ads, and we do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Information about your customers belongs to your business. We process it on your behalf, and your business is responsible for having the right to contact its customers.

Data is encrypted in transit. It is stored with our hosting, database, and file storage providers and shared only with the services that make the app work, such as email and text message delivery, your connected phone system, push notification services (Apple and Google), and social platforms you connect.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your Contractor Systems account and its data at any time. See how to delete your account. We delete account data within 30 days of a verified request, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, schedule and confirm calls, deliver information or services you request, send appointment reminders and account notifications, provide customer support, and improve the site. With your consent, we may also send you marketing or promotional messages about our services.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, Contractor Systems may send you text messages (SMS/MMS) at that number. Depending on the consent you give, these may include replies to your inquiry, appointment confirmations and reminders, account and service updates, and occasional marketing messages about our services.

• Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use our services without agreeing to receive marketing texts.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further texts.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as required to deliver the messages you have requested (for example, our messaging platform and carriers), or as required by law.

Sharing

When you book a walkthrough or start onboarding, the site may briefly show other visitors that someone did so, using only your first name, last initial, and the city and state where you were when you submitted (for example, "Mike R. in Tampa, FL booked a walkthrough"). We never show your full name, business name, or contact details. To opt out, email [email protected].

We share data only with service providers that help us run the business, such as hosting, CRM, scheduling, email, and messaging platforms, and only so they can perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to serve you, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. To access, correct, or delete your information, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site or our messaging programs after changes means you accept the updated policy.
